Undergraduate Program
The official UG course page describes BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) as the flagship undergraduate program. It follows the fundamentals of Ayurveda prescribed by NCISM and is designed to prepare students to practise Ayurveda with clinical knowledge, compassion, and professionalism.

Eligibility Criteria
General, Management, and Institutional Preference Candidates
- Candidates should have passed PUC or a 10+2 equivalent examination recognized by State or Central bodies.
- Minimum PCB requirement: 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates require 40% in PCB, applicable for Karnataka students and All India Quota students as stated on the official page.
- Admission to BAMS seats is through NEET in coordination with KEA.
- The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the admission year.
Additional Eligibility Notes
- Non-Karnataka candidates must obtain an eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences before admission.
- Tulu-speaking minority candidates must provide a certificate from the appropriate authorities.
- CBSE 10+2, non-Karnataka, foreign-educated, NRI, and NRI-sponsored candidates should follow the eligibility certificate and clearance requirements listed by RGUHS and the official page.
